Coaches:
Our FYHP preseason coaches meeting will take place at 7PM on Tuesday, September 7th at the Framingham Elks Lodge (450 Union Avenue). Attendance is required of all head coaches and I'd recommend bringing your assistant coaches and team manager as well if you can. We will go over all of the details of FYHP coaching rules, procedures and recommendations and field any questions from the group. I have copied the FYHP equipment manager, Bob Woodhouse, on this message so he can let us know what the arrangements are for distributing uniforms, et al. to the individual coaches. The first Westboro games start the week of September 6th so be certain you have your uniforms and equipment (pucks, water bottles, etc.) in hand before your first game.
I hope to see you all there on Sept. 7th.
-Bob Ryan
P.S. I know the Bantam B's have their first Westboro game on the evening of the 7th. Unfortunately, that was the only night that worked for this meeting so Coach Lewis and his coaches are excused from the meeting. I will fill them in on information to be shared at the meeting beforehand.

posted 06/28/2010 FYHP 2010-2011 Tuition Rates
After carefully weighing the increasing costs of ice and league participation, the Framingham Youth Hockey Program (FYHP) Board of Directors is pleased to announce the following tuition rates for the FYHP 2010-2011 season:
Beginners--$275
Mites--$880
Squirt A--$1,200
Squirt B & C's--$910
Peewees--$1,125
Bantam A--$995
Bantam B & C's--$1,110
Girls U-14--$900
Midgets/Girls U-19--$300
In the coming 2010-11 hockey season, Loring Arena has announced that it will be increasing the hourly rate FYHP is charged for practice ice. Additionally, each of the competitive leagues in which FYHP play their games have raised their participation fees by several hundred dollars per team. Finally, Mass. Hockey has bumped up the fees it charges for participation in its programs and the district and state playdowns. Notwithstanding these increases, FYHP is raising tuition rates this season by less than 2% across the board. Additionally, in order to continue to grow the game of hockey in Framingham and surrounding communities, FYHP is keeping tuition for its Beginners program steady for the fourth consecutive season.
FYHP is able to keep tuition rates so flat primarily due to the success of our fundraising programs--chiefly, the FYHP Golf Tournament. The volunteer efforts and support of FYHP parents, friends and area businesses have combined to make our fundraising a huge success story. As a result of this success, over $25,000 was contributed from fundraising efforts to hold down FYHP tuition costs for all skaters. Through your continuing support of the FYHP Golf Tournament, I am optimistic that we can continue to hold down FYHP tuition rates in the coming years.
If you haven't already received it, in the coming days you should receive your family's 2010-11 FYHP tuition bill. The $275 registration fee you paid in the Spring when you registered your child for tryouts should have already been deducted from your tuition bill. FYHP requires an additional tuition payment of $350 by July 31, 2010 and payment of the remaining balance by August 31, 2010. If you will have difficulty complying with these deadlines and wish to discuss a payment plan, please contact FYHP Treasurer, Paul McIlhenny, at
. When Loring Arena opens on September 12, 2010, no skater will be allowed to participate unless their tuition has been paid in full or they have made other arrangements with the FYHP Treasurer.
If you have any questions about FYHP tutition rates or payment arrangements, please don't hesitate to contact me or Paul McIlhenny.
