Bantam A - Valley League Bantam Elite Champions

Bantam A's had an unprecedented season finishing up with an impressive 37-4-3 record with 207 goals for and only 69 against in 44 games.  As many on our team are at the end of their Framingham Youth Hockey "career", this was a very memorable way to tip their hats on 8+ full-season years with FYHP.  Best of luck to all of our players...you've made us very proud.

Pee Wee Tier IV State Champs

After losing in a shocker during the first round on Friday Night the Framingham PWC team battled back with wins over Andover and Canton to get to the semifinals. With the Friday night loss the team gave up ultimate control of its destiny - it took 5 goals for and 0 against in our final play in the game against Canton plus a win by Waltham. Thanks to a big game by our goalie Zack LaBollita and great team play we made it! The semi final against  Waltham was the typical FYHP / Waltham battle with us coming away with a 1-0 win. The championship game was definitely a thriller. Robbie Downing put it away in overtime 2-1!

Reminder to Volunteers to Complete the CORI Process ASAP
by posted 06/07/2013

August 15, 2013

FYHP Current & Potential New Volunteers,

Welcome to the 2013‐2014 Season!

Massachusetts Hockey Rules and Regulations require all volunteers who have routine access to minors shall be screened for their criminal record. The relevant provisions and definitions can be found in Article XIII ‐ Sexual and Physical Abuse Screening of the Rules and Regulations in the Annual Guide (www.masshockey.com).

Anyone who serves in the capacity of the FYHP Board of Directors, Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Team Manager, Team Parent, On‐Ice Assistant, Locker Room Monitor, etc. is considered to be in scope for this policy.

It goes without saying, in addition to proving a fun and rewarding hockey experience, we must do so
with an emphasis on the safety and security of our skaters.   While FYHP has had a long standing practice of performing this security check, in partnership with Mass Hockey, we have implemented NEW procedures to ensure this is completed each year, for every volunteer.

For those volunteers returning to our program from last, you MUST complete this process for this season, regardless of having completed it in past years.

The CORI release and background check form is located on the Documents Page under the tab “CORI Initiative” on the FYHP website.  Please take a moment to thoroughly review the instructions prior to submitting your paperwork for processing.

Please Note: In addition to the completed CORI form, you must include a legible copy of your valid driver’s license.  Failure to do so will delay your ability to take the ice. No Exceptions.

Please include in the space provided on the CORI form the best email and telephone/cell number to reach you at should we have questions.

A listing of all volunteers who have successfully submitted their CORI background check form is provided in the Documents section and will be updated frequently as the season approaches.

Completed forms should be forwarded at your first convenience to my home address which is 30 Swift Road, Framingham, MA 01702.   Please do not scan or fax forms, or leave forms at Loring Arena. Completed forms, copies of ID and background check report results are kept in a secure and confidential location until such time individuals are cleared by the State of Massachusetts.  Following this, the forms are destroyed.

Should you have questions, please contact me directly at

Thank you for your cooperation with this requirement and your volunteerism on behalf of the program.

Michelle

Michelle Quinn Smith, FYHP CORI Coordinator

P.S. Remember….form and copy of your valid driver’s license please.  Thanks!
