FYHP - Tryout Registration for 2014 - 2015 Season Now Open!
Tryout Registration for the 2014-2015 season will run from February 3, 2014 through March 3, 2104. All tryout registrations are done online through our website. The tryout schedule is not finalized yet, but tryouts will be the first two weeks in April. Please continue to check our website for more information as it becomes available! Registration for our 2014-2015 Beginner Program will also open at that time and will remain open through the summer.
USA Hockey registration for the 2013-2014 season is now available online at www.usahockeyregistration.com. ALL SKATERS and coaches in the Framingham Youth Hockey program, regardless of age or level must register with USA Hockey every year. This is an additional fee that is required by USA Hockey and MA Hockey in order to participate in any youth hockey program. There is no charge for skaters born in 2007 and later, but they must still be registered. The fee is $48 ($40 goes to USA Hockey, $8 goes to MA Hockey) and is separate from FYHP Tuition fees.
Please visit the link above to start the USA Hockey registration process. Once you get your confirmation number, please do the following:
1. Go to our website www.framinghamyouthhockey.org and go into Edit My Account. If you forgot your login info, there will be instructions to get a new password once you get there.
2. Go to you skater's profile(s) and override the current USA Hockey confirmation number with the new number you will receive (or enter it in the blank USA Hockey # box if this is the first time you are doing it). You will know that your number is current for next season if the 4th digit is a "4". Make sure you hit save at the bottom!
PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR CONFIRMATION NUMBER TO THE REGISTRAR or anyone else in the program to update your profile with this information. With over 400 skaters in our program, it is not possible for our program volunteers to do this for you. We appreciate your cooperation with this step in the registration process. USA Hockey registration must be completed no later than August 1, 2013.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
Reminder to Volunteers to Complete the CORI Process ASAP
August 15, 2013
FYHP Current & Potential New Volunteers,
Welcome to the 2013‐2014 Season!
Massachusetts Hockey Rules and Regulations require all volunteers who have routine access to minors shall be screened for their criminal record. The relevant provisions and definitions can be found in Article XIII ‐ Sexual and Physical Abuse Screening of the Rules and Regulations in the Annual Guide (www.masshockey.com).
Anyone who serves in the capacity of the FYHP Board of Directors, Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Team Manager, Team Parent, On‐Ice Assistant, Locker Room Monitor, etc. is considered to be in scope for this policy.
It goes without saying, in addition to proving a fun and rewarding hockey experience, we must do so
with an emphasis on the safety and security of our skaters. While FYHP has had a long standing practice of performing this security check, in partnership with Mass Hockey, we have implemented NEW procedures to ensure this is completed each year, for every volunteer.
For those volunteers returning to our program from last, you MUST complete this process for this season, regardless of having completed it in past years.
The CORI release and background check form is located on the Documents Page under the tab “CORI Initiative” on the FYHP website. Please take a moment to thoroughly review the instructions prior to submitting your paperwork for processing.
Please Note: In addition to the completed CORI form, you must include a legible copy of your valid driver’s license. Failure to do so will delay your ability to take the ice. No Exceptions.
Please include in the space provided on the CORI form the best email and telephone/cell number to reach you at should we have questions.
A listing of all volunteers who have successfully submitted their CORI background check form is provided in the Documents section and will be updated frequently as the season approaches.
Completed forms should be forwarded at your first convenience to my home address which is 30 Swift Road, Framingham, MA 01702. Please do not scan or fax forms, or leave forms at Loring Arena. Completed forms, copies of ID and background check report results are kept in a secure and confidential location until such time individuals are cleared by the State of Massachusetts. Following this, the forms are destroyed.
Should you have questions, please contact me directly at
Thank you for your cooperation with this requirement and your volunteerism on behalf of the program.
Michelle Quinn Smith, FYHP CORI Coordinator
P.S. Remember….form and copy of your valid driver’s license please. Thanks!

or by phone at 508-370-9063. He is the only one that handles money, so he would be the only one that can answer those types of questions.
